Not too long ago I mistakenly entered a pool with my phone in my pocket. I was at physical therapy and was in the pool for an hour. I spent all of that time walking back and forth bopping around in the pool that was highly chlorinated. When I realized my phone was in my pocket, I was horrified. I was certain my phone was toast! I took off the case and dried the phone as much as possible. While on my way home, I heard an alarm go off. I was astounded! Could that possibly be?! When I arrived home, I powered the phone off, removed the case, and place the phone in a bag of rice for 2 hours. The phone works fine! ☺️

Most of these phones are water resistant up to so many feet for x amount of time. Glad yours came through your unintended water test with flying colors.

The water resistance is a selling point, just for incidents like that.  However, don't you have to change your clothes to go into a physical therapy pool?  I am baffled as to how you wouldn't feel the phone itself or the weight of the phone in your pocket. Do swim shorts even have pockets?

My swim shorts have pockets. I had put my phone in my backpack, then realized that I was 30 minutes early for my appt, so I switched the phone to my pocket, thinking I'd play one of my games while I was waiting.

When I went into the pool room, there was a lady in there swimming & we started chatting. I forgot about my phone.

Lesson learned! Either keep the phone in my backpack or on my walker, not in the pocket of my swim shorts!
