Cannot recover over 500 pics after deleting internal storage

Hi all I'm not very tech savvy and was trying to free up space on my Galaxy A40. I ended up deleting all my pics! I managed to salvage some that were kept in Google pics but when I go into gallery and trash I see 500 + grey tiles that were my pics I select all and then recover but a message flashes up they can't be recovered!  I only delated them 2 days ago and my trash is deleted every 30 days. As I say I'm not tech savvy but I've attached pics. Please help!

I don't believe you're going to be able to recover those pictures. I do have two suggestions for the future. One is to use some type of cloud backup service, and the other is to spend less than $15 dollars for a 128gb micro SD card.

Why do you think I could retrieve the others (pics up to March 2024) and not the ones post 2024?

There is recovery software that will get them back,just don't save anything at all right now, because if you do, it will overwrite them spots, and they will be gone forever

Google has every picture I ever took on any phone since smart phones became a thing. But, then again, I also didn't take many hundreds of hi res photos throughout the years. The reason some of your newer ones aren't in Google may be because you exceeded the 15 Gb limit in free Google photo storage and would not have been saved. You should actually click on your initial in the Google photos app and see how much cloud storage you are using. Did you delete your photos through Google photos or the Gallery app? Deleting through Google photos deletes them from your phone and from Google storage. Deleting them from the gallery only deleted them from your phone, but will remain in Google (unless you ran out of storage space). The reason they are not recoverable from trash may be because the trash bin probably has a storage limit (otherwise it will take over your hard drive).
