A Series & Other MobileI use my fingerprint to unlock my phone, but sometimes I have to enter my password. A few days ago I changed my password. When I changed it, I entered the same password as the old one. The phone accepted it and everything worked. I used my fingerprint to unlock it again. Today the phone asked me to enter my password again, but it didn't accept my password. I can't unlock my phone anymore. Any advice?

A Series & Other MobileSorry to have to say this but the only option is to perform a factory reset to remove the password and then restore your phone from the Backup

A Series & Other MobileAnd lose a part of my life from the last 3 years? If this is the only option, I'm done with Samsung. Protecting my data by deleteing it, is next level. Unacceptable.

A Series & Other MobileAll of your data should be backup to google so restoring your phone from the back up should have everything the same as it was before. You can check to see if your photos are being synced to google by going to

A Series & Other MobileNo, just the memory in the phone. Samsung support advised me to visit a local service. I had a similar problem a few years ago and solved it via smartthingsfind but this app is totally useless now.

A Series & Other MobileAre you sure you typed your password correctly last time you tried to unlock your phone? Those tiny keyboards really blow and are great for putting in the wrong characters. Otherwise, as @GaryB82 stated, your only other option would be to factory reset your phone. If you chose not to sync your phone backup or do the auto backups to the Samsung cloud, or backup to an external device, that's on you. They make it so easy for people who are too lazy or too forgetful to do their own backups. If something is important to you, you make a point to back it up. Technology fails, phones break, get stolen or lost and, stuff like what you are experiencing now happens.
Saying you are done with Samsung, is just silly. It is, of course, your right to switch brands, but I guarantee you that any other brand would either have less facility for regaining your password or have the same process. Passwords, because their nature, are only stored on your phone - neither your Samsung account nor your Google account has access to it, so there is no other way of recovery. Next time back your stuff up.
