Hello,

The clock on my homescreen is in black when I start (or restart) my phone (see photo below).  This is before I unlock my phone.  I would like to change the clock to white.  How can I do this?

Please note I am not talking about changing the colour of the clock on my homescreen after my phone been unlocked.  Once I have unlocked my phone after starting up (or restarting) and the display goes off after two minutes [this is the display setting I have], the clock is white when I switch on the display again.

The black clock only appears immediately after startup or restarting my phone.

This happens because before you unlock your phone, your settings are not active.  Your settings don't take effect until the phone is unlocked, unfortunately.  This annoys me too, as I have such a pretty color for my clock.  The only exception I have found for this is when auto-optimization restarts my phone, it appears to restart with my clock colors intact even though the phone is locked.  I think if they can do this, they should be able to keep the clock style settings after a manual reboot.
