Galaxy A52 5G - Double Tap To Turn On Screen

Hello,

I am experiencing a bug with my Galaxy A52 5G phone. I have recently just purchased this phone, and noticed that it often wakes itself on its own onto the lockscreen, or by mistake when I'm holding it in my hand. I seriously dislike how sensitive the screen is to being turned on to the lockscreen randomly.

This results in me accidentally pausing music, removing notificatons, and more. I can't even move the now bar / spotify / notification widget to the lower part of the screen to get around this issue.

I have double tap to turn on / off screen disabled in advanced features settings, and even lift to awake off. How in the world do I disable this god awful feature? It mainly does it when something bumps into the screen twice (double tap) even when I have it disabled.. I have no settings changed on Good Lock app either.

Have you adjusted the screen sensitivity to for accidental touch protection? Settings/display/accidental touch protection and slide it on.  My guess is you are not accidentally double tapping the screen, but rather accidentally hitting the side button.

I have, but I genuinely don't even want this feature on my phone at all. I've had other android devices without it. I'm also not hitting the side button.

Your best bet, then is to put in an error report or start a tech support chat. Personally, the lock screen opening wouldn't bother me, as I don't clutter up my lock screen with apps and widgets. By the way, if a notification appears, the screen turns on. I believe if music is playing the screen will wake when you touch it so you can control the music. If none of that was going on, it would probably react the way you expect it to.

It's bugged. Double tap to turn on phone feature is off in that section and it still persists.

Change your side key to double press and then add app action or whichever function you want to happen when you double press side key and turn off lift to wake maybe.
