A Series & Other MobileHave you adjusted the screen sensitivity to for accidental touch protection? Settings/display/accidental touch protection and slide it on. My guess is you are not accidentally double tapping the screen, but rather accidentally hitting the side button.

A Series & Other MobileYour best bet, then is to put in an error report or start a tech support chat. Personally, the lock screen opening wouldn't bother me, as I don't clutter up my lock screen with apps and widgets. By the way, if a notification appears, the screen turns on. I believe if music is playing the screen will wake when you touch it so you can control the music. If none of that was going on, it would probably react the way you expect it to.
