Galaxy J3 Prime Android Version??

The Galaxy J3 Prime phone, kinda of old...has Android version 7.0 and checking if there is a software update, says it is up to date, and will not update the Android version.

Anyone know if it can be updated. Bought new unlocked at Best Buy, several years ago, using on  Tmobile.

It can't be updated at all no more systems update or security patch updates will not come to the old phone anymore samsung doesn't support systems updates on outdated phones

seriously consider against using that phone ever again, solely based on lack of security/updates.

I agree definitely lack of security to many vulnerabilities
