If your contacts were stored on your old phone, they would have to have been transferred over to your new phone with smart switch. If they are stored in Google, or on your SIM they should automatically populate. Assuming you are using the same SIM in the case of SIM storage. If they were backed up to your Samsung account, they should repopulate when you log into your Samsung account. If you no longer have your old phone or this is your first Samsung phone, you will have to recreate your contacts. If you had an Android phone before, your contacts should have synced with Google.
