How can I get my RCS messages to only send SMS?

RCS messages sent to folks with pedal-powered phones don't get through.  You get the option to convert them to SMS.  How do I set my A34 to only send SMS?

Under Google chat app settings for RCS, you can turn off RCS and toggle the auto resend as text sms/mms feature to on is what I would do.

Hi @userra 

You have me a bit confused.  I am not using Google Chat, I am using the sort of chat that came with the phone (two-tone blue speech-bubble icon).  🤔  I find that that is properly called "Messages".  Can I set that to use SMS rather than RCS?
