When my phone starts up into the first (welcome?) screen an old email address is shown. I have seen the suggestions for entering and editing in the settings/profile section, but this section does have the correct address. Can anyone shed light on this please?

Thanks

Go to the lock screen editor by long pressing an area of the screen. Tap the bottom information section and edit the text there. Click done on the upper right when finished to save your changes.

If you're referring to the lockscreen... there is an option to add your email or phone number to the lockscreen in the case that a person loses their device to be contacted. You can either tap on the email to edit or go to device settings.
