I have been using Samsung Secure Folder to store many important personal and work-related files. Suddenly, I am unable to access my Secure Folder. Whenever I try to open it, I get the following message:
"Secure folder has been locked because of unauthorized activity. Your data can't be recovered. It will be deleted. You can uninstall and reinstall Secure Folder to use it again."
I have contacted the Samsung service center over the phone, but they said they cannot help me online. Unfortunately, I am unable to visit a service center in person at the moment. I do not want to lose the valuable data stored in my Secure Folder. Could anyone please guide me if there is any way to recover the data or if there is any official Samsung online support service that can assist me remotely?
You can do one better than that, backup with smart switch but before you do, enable password based secure folder encryption in smart switch settings. Then even if someone finds your hidden drive and they have access to your samsung account, they can't use the data. When doing a local backup, by default secure folder backups use your samsung account to encrypt them (and normal device backups have encryption off by default).
