Smarttag2 not resetting or connecting

I've tried to reset my Smarttag2. Even buying a new battery to reset and it won't beep or anything.  I deleted it from my smartthings account as well but no luck.   It won't beep when I press the button.  It's only 7 months old.  Any ideas?
