I've been having this issue for the past few months. I when I make a phone :mobile_phone: call, I can't hear the person I am calling. The only way to get it to work is if I restart the phone. There have been a few occasions that I had to restart the phone several times in one day.

I understand how frustrating this is. Try checking the microphone and voice recorder.

â—‹ Open Voice Recorder and record your voice. Playback the recording to see if you can hear yourself. If you can hear yourself, it is likely that there is an issue with the other end of the voice call or your service provider. If you cannot hear yourself in the voice recording, please proceed to the next step.

â—‹ Check to see if the microphone and receiver is blocked/dirty. If it is blocked or dirty, gently brush it off using a dry toothbrush or a brush. After you have cleaned your device, test your device again to see if there is sound.

Also, test the phone in Safe Mode to make sure there are no 3rd-party apps interfering. https://www.samsung.com/us/support/answer/ANS00062983/

The final step of troubleshooting would be to do a complete backup and reset of the phone. https://www.samsung.com/us/support/answer/ANS00062029/

If there is still an issue with the audio during calls after completing all of the troubleshooting, it is recommended to have the phone evaluated by a certified technician. For service options, please send a private message with the model code and the IMEI of the phone. http://bit.ly/2XERsky
