I need to upgrade my boot drive to move to Windows 11. Does the 990 EVO fit in the same space as an SSD 850 EVO? I can't seem to find the dimensions of either of them.
They are different, 850 is ssd drive and 990 is nvme drive which uses pci-e(express) slot, different drive slots. If you have both can use Samsung software to x-fer op. System from ssd to nvme( nvme usb enclosue) by USB cable. Also download Samsung drivers for nvme drive and Magician software for nvme firmware updates and to set up the nvme drive with over provisioning ect.
