I had Message Categories set up in my Messages App on my Z-Fold5, but when I transferred everything over to my new Z-Fold6, the Categories were not there. All the actual messages were there, just the categories were gone.
Is there any way to backup and restore the actual Categories (and all the contacts within) themselves when upgrading to a new phone?
You have to re-enable them. Settings/notifications/advanced settings. Turn on manage notification categories for all apps. I do not know why they turn it off by default and somehow the setting does not get saved with the backup. Sometimes it gets turned off with an update, so you have to check.
