My messages app icon constantly shows at least 2 unread messages (4 at the moment) but when I open the app I have no unread messages. Searching "unread messages" shows I have none.  What's the deal?

Hi SeanNY2, We understand how frustrating notifications can be.

Have you tried clearing the app cache for the Messages app? https://www.samsung.com/us/support/answer/ANS00077611/

If the app continues to show notifications for unread messages when all messages are read, we recommend reaching out to your service provider for assistance. They may be able to reset your messaging services.
