Just upgraded from a z flip 4 to a z flip 6. Bought this device straight from samsung & was unable to video call anymore on the default phone app. I even switched from Verizon to tmobile thinking the issue would resolve itself but still no luck. Why would @Samsung take away features that worked just fine???? What sense does that make? I don't want to use Google messages nor goggle meet. I want the samsung brand that I have been using since 2008. Make samsung great again.

Video calling has always been Google Meet on Unlocked Devices purchased directly from Samsung.com.  Devices purchased from your Carrier comes with carrier software which includes Video calling

That's very silly. It's clear that the technology exists. I should not be punished for not being trapped with a specific phone carrier. Capitalism is all about the free market & having options

Since its a unlocked device Samsung can't install all of the Video calling apps that each carrier uses on everyones phones so they don't provide one

So why can the carriers not install it the same way they install esim cards & whatever other bloatware? I spent 4 hours chatting with Verizon for them to tell me it's a samsung device issue. Then was assured that VoLTE would be available by the tmobile rep that switched me to their network today. You must admit this is ridiculous.

Technology is far too advanced for these petty simpleton problems

The video call option is provided by the carrier. If you have an unlocked phone, the video call option isn't always available.

Because my phone is unlocked i should be able to take it & do whatever I please with it, enjoying all features. This is laughable. Guess I will use WhatsApp. Google can't have any more of my data than what it already steals.

You can do whatever you want with it, except use a carrier's proprietary software when they didn't provide the phone. Do you want your unlocked phone to include the proprietary software from every possible carrier?

Nah but if I pay for service they should be able to allow me to download whatever is needed. I'm sure that it's simple.
