Hi everyone. I got a new Z Flip 4 and to be honest, this is my first Android phone so please bear with me. I don't think the cover screen is broken at all since it lights up when you turn it on after being turned off (shows the Samsung logo), it shows the battery status when you plug it in to charge, and finally it turns on when you open the camera app and use the cover screen mode, in this mode, I can double tap the cover screen to resize the orientation of the photo in the cover screen (landscape to portrait, vv.). Other than these, it doesn't turn on by: pressing the power button while the phone is flipped closed and double tapping the cover screen while the phone is flipped closed or open. I'm not really sure what I've missed, so any advice on how to use the cover screen would be appreciated.
Has your device been exposed to any strong magnets? The flips and folds use magnets to determine if the device is open or closed, so it may have become uncalibrated, especially since the screen still functions during boot up.
I recommend that you take it to a local Samsung service center. They might be able to recalibrate the sensors!
