Ok, updated and no longer have predefined selection choices. Smart select isn't. Any ideas how to get back the basic selection choices.

Right now, you don't. Apparently though, Samsung is working on a fix to bring it back, more than likely through good lock.

Correct. Samsung confirmed that the smart selector is coming back. Apparently, in a future update.
