After having a chat with smasung care they forced me to talk to my carrier even if I purchased the device directly from samsung and financed through samsung finance as well. My carrier doesn't even have my device info or anything on their network side so they can't even send the needed unlock info. After talking to my carrier I was told that this is on samsung and that since it was purchased through them there is nothing on their side they can do to force the unlock through.

Doesn't matter if the device is financed or not it said 3 months in it will be eligible for unlock. Had this device since launch last year.

I question t-mobile not not your imei or device information in there system as fir the financial part that has nothing to do with unlocking i.e bought from xyz store etc they have that and know your device and yes it's a carrier issue not Samsung to unlock the phone I don't remember how long it is after you pay off the device that they allow it to be unlocked I would check t-mobile site unlocking policy to confirm all else fails contact force on x

Decided to use the promo for the fold 6 and trade in the fold 5 for the unlocked fold 6. Easy solution to my problem. Plus I was looking for a slimmer and slightly upgraded phone.
