I contacted Samsung support for assistance in restoring the talk-to-text microphone icon to its original position in the left corner of my phone's screen. I found navigating to the correct setting challenging, which is why I contacted Samsung on three previous occasions. The fourth time it disappeared I discovered a simple solution: a keyboard reset successfully restored the microphone icon.
