You could always try adding a shortcut and add the number of spaces you to tab, followed by a word or symbol to let you know it's a tab. Under keyboard settings/shortcuts I believe.

@userJKLbOBIrxh Samsung has a Keys Cafe application. It is part of their Good Lock application. Both can be found in the Galaxy store and are free. You can use it to add a Tab key and make a lot of other customizations to your keyboard. 

1. Open Keys Cafe.
2. Click on Make your own keyboard
3. Click the + sign
4. Click on Edit
5. Swipe the selection of icons at the top to the left until you get to the ones shown in my screenshot. Or click on the icon with a ruler and pencil. 
6. Drag the tab key icon to where you want it on the keyboard. 
7. Click the checkmark icon in upper right to save the keyboard. 
8. Name the keyboard. It is automatically applied.
