The messages stopped working correctly so today she restarted her phone. It shut off and never came back on. Full battery. I've tried multiple chargers and wireless charging. All side button combinations available on the web. How does a $1000 phone in perfect condition just turn off and never turn back on? Please help us Samsung!

Sound like a capacitor went out. Take it to repair shop and get it repaired.
