Fold & Flip PhonesYou would know it if it was happening to you. Assuming you have the cover display set to 'Always on'. Otherwise, it's easy to miss unless your looking for it.

Fold & Flip PhonesI've done a full reset of the phone and it still persists. Hoping there's a fix that doesn't require sending the phone back to Samsung.

Fold & Flip PhonesHello Craig, Welcome to the Community. We understand the concern of the screen not turning off when the phone is closed.
In addition to the factory reset that you have already completed, another troubleshooting step you can try is testing the phone in Safe Mode. https://www.samsung.com/us/support/answer/ANS00062983/
If the inner screen stays active when you close the phone in Safe Mode, then as @Holylove mentioned, repairs may be needed. You can use the following link to find a list of service centers in the U.S. that can do the repair: http://www.samsung.com/us/support/service/location or by contacting customer support by calling 1-800-726-7864.
For assistance outside the U.S., please use this link: https://www.samsung.com/us/common/visitlocationsite.html
