Is it safe to drill holes in the top of the case so I can attach a key chain?

I would drill two (2) holes right in the middle, pretty much just above and below the 2nd "S" in "SAMSUNG".

I would think that all of the electronics are in the bottom of the case, but I could be wrong.

I wouldnt suggest drilling into the case I was suggest ordering a case cover for you Buds they are so many cover options to order

Drilling in your case is not recommend, you can order protective cases online through Amazon that have key ring loops and etc.
