Galaxy Buds
I got my Galaxy buds 3 today, was testing them out. I noticed an issue I'm having with my phone prioritizing built in phone mic over my Bluetooth mic on the buds.

During phone calls it switched to the buds just fine... However, when using the "hey Google" feature, and talking to Google assistant or Gemini it's using my built in phone mic. Also when using Gboard text to talk feature it's using phone mic yet again instead of my buds mic. Even when I tested the Samsung voice recorder, it defaulted to phone mic. I had to go to setting and tell it to use Bluetooth on the app otherwise it just defaults to phone mic.

Unfortunately those other apps do not have a setting to tell it to use Bluetooth mic, so I can't figure out how to make it use my buds mic over the phone mic. I looked online, and they mentioned apps like lesser aduioswitch, and soundabout. However, neither of these apps are available for my Galaxy S10+.

In short, how do I make my phone prioritize Bluetooth mic over built in mic with all apps automatically?

You have a 7yr old phone, it might not be compatible to do what you want.

So for your phone is Gboard or Gemini's hey Google feature working with your Bluetooth mic? Is it a Samsung Galaxy S10 issue and not a Android in general issue?

The phone is 7yrs old. It is probably a hardware limitation from phone to buds.

I just got Samsung s25 and the same issue is still happening. If you say hey google Gemini only works on phone mic not any Bluetooth mic. Same with gboard.
