Why is the UHQ audio codec not active with the galaxy Buds?

That is used for wired headphones and earbuds

The Buds Pro (along the other galaxy buds) use Samsung's own high quality Scalable Bluetooth codec

If it is meant for use with wired headphones why would it be greyed out for me on my S22u (using a dac and amp setup)
