Update Buds3 Pro with 1 earbud?

So I damaged 1 of my earbuds, and I'm seeing that you can't just pair a new one with the Buds3 Pro. Can I update them with just 1 earbud, I'm just tired of seeing the popup every time I use my 1 earbud lol.
