Would think screen is malfunctioning could of gone bad or you have a bad issue on the phone

The Note 8 was released in 2017, it is a 7 yr old phone that receives no more software support. Apps will no longer work on that device soon.
Even if you bought the kit to replace the screen it will be $200 to fix it with reputable replacement parts. Probably needs a new battery too.
It might be time to get a new phone.

Agree with Robin. There's great deals on gently used phones for less than $200. You can get a good bang for your buck on the A-series models too, if you're not looking for the Note/Ultra style experience.

I also agree with Robin. If you're willing to get a new screen which is going to be expensive. I rather recommend you to just buy a new phone that should be getting the latest updates.
