I've had mostly Samsung phones since 2010 but the continual delay in updating Android, especially considering all the important updates it brings, has really been a turn-off. I'm on the fence on dumping Samsung, which has grown very bloated and too locked down anyways. Anyone else feel the same?

Yes. I only have them for the chip. Now that my s20 ultra (a phone that has no physical problems and benchmarks are better than most brand new mid range phones... a phenomenal camera and a phone I chose over the S21 ultra due to the features) is failing from software/firmware/incompatiblity issues...the Motorola razer and lenovo rog9 are serious considerations at this point. My first Samsung was an S4 and have consistently had their flagships over the years. After seeing how other androids without the samsung skin on the UI behave... I think they are far superior as far as android options go. But if all you want was an anti-iPhone with the same dumbed down user interface then Samsung has become just that. Basically a fancy Jitterbug. Remember those phones? Something you pin to your aging boomer parents with dementia and your kindergarten child when they go on a field trip... everything pre installed, bright, and easy to see with location turned on but no access to a menu so they can't screw anything up.

I gave my S22U to my 89 year old aunt last year. She lives 4 hours away and I'm grateful that she hasn't figured out how to screw anything up on that phone..........yet. šŸ˜‚

I have used Iphones, Pixel phones, and Samsung phones. Why is Samsung my daily driver, One Ui, is far superior to Googles Material U.
Would you rather have a buggy phone or a phone that just works. You just don't understand how massive of an upgrade Ui7 is. It is not just cosmetic it is a generational leap with multimodal app integration.
