Galaxy S PhonesSamsung Messages Version 12.2.10.31
SUBSEQUENT TEXT MESSAGES WITHIN A CONVERSATION DO NOT PROVIDE AUDIO NOTIFICATIONS, WHICH COMPLETELY RUINS MY ABILITY TO MULTITASK.
I'M NOT GOING TO SIT THERE LIKE AN WATCHING MY PHONE WAITING FOR A TEXT RESPONSE THAT MAY OR MAY NOT COME.
FIX THIS IMMEDIATELY. PROGRAM THE PHONE TO GIVE THE OPTION. THIS IS NOT A REQUEST, THIS IS A COMMAND.
Solved! Go to Solution.

Galaxy S PhonesSo since the solution was not very specific, the answer is turning OFF vibrate for new message. found in different areas depending on your software version. Sound is set to on with your sound selection, and if vibrate is on too, it seems to over ride the sound selection. Turned off vibrate, and ALL GOOD now in conversations as well as new messages!!!
