Since the new update in August, my phone has been using battery power & overheating like crazy. I would venture a guess that the random restarts are from it overheating, to help save the battery, etc. I've powered it off & on to restart it. I've cleaned and scanned the files (I can't remember hiw to clear the cache). & I've looked to disable all-time running apps, but know I'm missing the cause of this.
Last time this happened, there was a quickish fix for it, but I don't remember what it was. Any help or advise would ve appreciated.

I definitely understand how concerning this is. Clearing the cache partition can be especially helpful after an update. Here are the steps to follow: https://www.lifewire.com/clear-cache-on-samsung-s10-5182265 I am also including some additional steps you can try: https://bit.ly/3sYktby  If the phone continues to overheat and restart, it would be recommended to have the phone evaluated by a certified technician.

If your phone is getting too warm to touch, repairs would be recommended in order to have the technicians evaluate the device. You can use the following link to find a list of service centers in the U.S. that can do the repair:  https://www.samsung.com/us/support/service/ or by contacting customer support at 1-800-726-7864.
