How to check my phone if it has viruses on it?

I was scrolling thru Google when u got a report on my phone saying I had 2 viruses. It suggested to go to a site to get it fixed. I backed out of the site I was on. And exited this supposed helping thing. Idk how to check for phone for viruses. Or to not take this serious.

It is a scam to get you to click on malicious links. Don't do it. If you want to check your device, go to device care and click on device protection to scan your device.
