Galaxy S Phonesthe captions/enlarged icons have to dismiss themsrlves [0.5-1sec] before tap/press executes.
i was already running GoodLock & NavStar from a14/oui6.1, so, i never had dead nav icons or goofed hw buttons.
when my nav icons/hw buttons become >1sec laggy, that usuallly presages a full oui7 hang, & eventual a15 crash+forced restart.
i'm not running Live Captioning &/or Live Transcribe. i've turned off Accessibility - no joy.
samsung "support" doesn't have a clue. "switch to swipe gestures" is a cop out.
all a14/oui6.1 to a15/oui7 prophylaxis has been done at least 3x.
samsung needs to restore normal nav bar icon & hw button functions, w/ zero lags & no a15/oui7 hangs/crashes from using them.
too many are waiting on this.

Galaxy S PhonesHave you run a diagnostic on the screen to make sure all areas of the screen are functional? Turn on touch sensitivity to see if that helps. Check accessibility settings to make sure you don't have tap duration and ignore repeated touches and interaction control on. Even if you are 100% positive you never went into accessibility settings, sometimes after an update unexpected settings get turned on or off. Setting/accessibility/interaction and dexterity.
You can also try momentarily switching to gestures and then switching right back to the navigation bar to see if that helps. You can also try Good Lock's NaviStar module to switch the positions of the nav bar icons or change the nav bar icons, although that really should have not bearing, but you never know; sometimes it shoves something "loose" and then things start working again.

Galaxy S Phones23 July, 2025 just called Samsung checking for a fix to the bug reported 2 months ago. They confirmed previously that it indeed was a bug in the May Android update and I had a ticket number to check on. The response as of today is "No update" on bug reported.
After reading this thread, I powered my phone off, powered it on and held the volume down button while booting up and it loaded in safe mode. I then turned off safe mode by clicking on where it said safe mode, rebooted and it now appears to be working properly again!!!!
