Screen flashing/blinking for 1ms

Hi all,

I made a video of the problem. I'll link it at the end (I blurred everything for privacy, but you can still see the problem cleary).

This mostly happens with Whatsapp and sometimes in Instagram. I haven't seen this problem in any other app/situation as of now.

Things that I've already tried:

- tried switching to every risolution possible (in 60hz and 120hz)

-turning on and off auto brightness

- wipe data cache

- unistall and reinstall the apps

- disable HW overlays

As you can see, everytime that, from a chat, I come back to the chat list, I get a fast blink of the frame of the chat I was in before.

Has that ever happaned to anyone else? Any idea?

Ok, I've now noticed that the problem isn't visible in the video uploaded to YouTube that I linked. YouTube probably doesn't have that many fps to show it. I tried on Vimeo...same.

So I had to upload it to Streamable, it's the only one that has enough fps to show it apparently.

So you are mentioning the flickering problem using the Instagram app on Samsung galaxy S24 ultra?

As you can see the problem was in Whatsapp mainly and it was on S20. I sent it back and they told me it had hardware problems so I got a refund and bought an S22. That's all.
