UI Feedback: Samsung Keyboard and Status Bar Notch Optimization

Hi Samsung Developers,

I’ve noticed a UI behavior that could use improvement for a more polished look, and I wanted to bring it up for feedback.

1. Samsung Keyboard: As shown in the attached screenshot, the keyboard leaves a blank area on the left where the notch portion isn't utilized. This interrupts the visual flow and makes the design feel incomplete.

2. Status Bar Icons: Similarly, the status bar icons do not extend into the notch area when content is displayed, like in full-screen apps or videos. It makes the screen appear underutilized, especially when there's ample space available.

It’s not a functional issue, but better integration of UI elements into the notch would provide a cleaner, more seamless look. For example:

Expanding the keyboard or background to use the notch area.

Allowing status bar icons to utilize the available screen space.

I have marked the part for better understanding. I’d love to see this addressed in a future One UI update to make the interface feel more polished and efficient.

My keyboard takes up the space no gap

Can you provide a screenshot of that?

You can adjust the keyboard size which I think is what your not done yet

I tired but the keyboard isn't covering the notch part.  Can you help me to solve the issue?

Can you provide me a screenshot of your smartphone keyboard?

I can't either using the Samsung Keyboard on my S24U.

But you can use other Keyboard Apps like Swiftkey, Gboard or even Yandex. No gap left/right.
