You know there are other Android brands besides Samsung, right?  It's not a choice between Apple and Samsung.  Pixel phones get the new Android versions first because, well...Google.  The OneUI is Samsung's shell over Android--the User Interface--that provides more customization options than most other manufacturers' Android versions or their own UIs.  Are you heated about not getting the latest UI or the latest Android version?  It's taking so long because the way the Samsung UI works, is that it actually integrates its features into Android and not just overlays a launcher.  Apple is not even remotely as customizable as *any* version of Samsung's OneUI.  If you don't care about anything other than getting your "major" updates then, by all means, choose another brand that you feel performs better in that respect.

Samsung is not a corner street company. There in the big leagues. Why in the 2 years that I've had a s23 have I only gotten one update? So with that, that means I only have 2 more years before I need to spend another 800+ dollars to keep getting updates. It's 2025 and tech is moving faster and faster. An update that's been delayed since September/October even for phones newer than mine is disappointing. I understand what you're saying but how much time is too much time when in a few months android 16 is coming out. I've been using samsung for over 10 years, but it gets to a point.

If I recall users were promised x number of years of *support*, not necessarily updates.  However, you should have gotten more than one update in that time.  What Android/UI version are you on?  If you are on 15/6.1, then you are up to date.  If not, you have to find out from your carrier why you have gotten no updates, as updates come through the carrier.  You can also force an update via Smart Switch by connecting your phone to a computer and downloading Smart Switch for computer.
