You may have the blue light filter turned on.
fone settings.......... display......... blue light filter.
Turn off if on.

That blue light filter is a pain. It needs to remind people that it's on or auto turn off after a few hours. I can't believe it even stays on after a complete reboot of the phone as well. Mine was on for a week one time before I finally realized it.

settings..display..screen mode.. change to natural screen vs vivid!! just fixed mine, had the exact same issue.. hope this helps

@samsungS20plus Thx. I just turned the opacity or whatever it is all the way up so I can clearly tell if the filter is on or not. Before it was at like 20% so you were never quite sure but now it's very evident.
