I updated my cell phone and my wife's to Android 13. Security patch level listed as Nov 1, 2022.

Since the update we have been having intermittent connection issues with T-Mobile, either making calls or existing calls dropping, even thou the phone shows 5 bars. This occurs at home or at Orlando hospital. Traveling with phone resolves connection issues.

The phone only says emergency calls can be made.  Handshake/authentication issue maybe; since the phone shows 5 bars? Re-booting phone (i.e. reestablishing connection to T-Mobile) worked once.

Using Developer Options, I ran two System Trace scans while problem existed. For one scan I enabled network options. Unable to view/read scans.  Side note: Selection of three bars to show all pages active, shows System Traces page, but unable to open that now.

FYI: USA bought phones.

1) How I share the System Trace files with Samsung?

2) More importantly how do resolve this issue; as it impacts voice and data connections?

3) When is the next update scheduled?  In searching on Samsung Community sites, it appears the S21 cellular network connection problems initially started with this summer's updates.

Thank you! Maybe I need to switch to APPLE, urgh.

Try going into recovery and clearing the system cache and repairing apps.

Hello, We understand how frustrating it is to drop network connection. After updating your phones, we recommend following @DaleNet's advice and clearing the cache partition and repairing the apps under the recovery menu.

For network connection concerns, there are some troubleshooting steps included here: https://www.samsung.com/us/support/troubleshooting/TSG01212956

If these steps are not helpful, we recommend following up with your service provider, as they are responsible for these services.

Software updates and security patches are also provided by your service provider. You will need to reach to them regarding the next update.

If the service provider is unable to resolve the connection concerns, then service is recommended. You can use the following link to find a list of service centers in the U.S. that can do the repair: http://www.samsung.com/us/support/service/location or by contacting customer support at 1-800-726-7864.

For non-U.S. model phones, please use this link: https://www.samsung.com/us/common/visitlocationsite.html
