Before someone will ask, I saw a lot of posts about Google Wallet/Pay and OneUI beta. but the thing is, I'm not using beta. I updated my phone when I saw a security update. day after, I saw the message that Tap To Pay doesn't work because security requirements.
That could definitely complicate things. 😅 It could also potentially have something to do with this issue you're encountering. So the phone is from Europe? Do you know which country specifically?
When I searched in google, there are a lot of people that reported this. I don't think that the region or the country is effect the app. The app worked until I installed the security update.
Since you mentioned a security update, you might want to find out its contents to see if that didn't disable this functionality somehow. Certain regions don't have any tap-to-pay services, so the country definitely matters. Argentina has them, but I'm not sure about their continued compatibility in Israel. It seems like a very unique situation. These steps probably won't resolve the problem, but there is no harm in trying. With the phone off, press and hold Power and Volume up buttons until the Samsung logo disappears. Using volume keys, highlight Wipe cache partition, then power to select and confirm on the following screen. On the original menu, use volume to navigate to Repair apps, and then power again to select.
Oh, probably not. To be perfectly honest though, I have no idea why your wireless payments stopped working. The security update seems to be the likely source. If so, it might not be possible to reenable them without changing the device's CSC. I wish I could be of more help. 😢
