Photo formatted to HEIF, how to change?

Photos are suddenly being saved in HEIF format on my S21 Ultra. Unfortunately not everyone can open a photo in that format. Under settings for the camera the reduce file size function is turned off. Is there a way to change the format used when I take a photo?
