Unable to change messaging app back to Samsung

The latest update as of August 24 has changed my default messaging app to google and it will not allow me to change it back to Samsung

Did you try :

⁃   Settings  ≻

⁃   Apps  ≻

⁃   Choose Default Apps  ≻

⁃   SMS Apps  ≻

⁃   Choose Samsung .

There is a message now for you to switch over not sure how long it will allow Samsung messages to work

So is Samsung messaging going away for good? I don't know if I want Google taking over my messages.

Samsung A23..... need to change my voicemail message. Cannot figure it out???
