Why is "Detailed Info and Specs" Unavailable on Samsung?

Why is this not available on Samsung? From what I understand Samsung literally took this out of AOSP to prevent users from easily accessing the specs of their phone from the "About Phone" tab in Settings. Would be nice to easily access this information on my own phone without having to go online.

Was looking for CPU architecture. It's easy to find on the internet, but I would've preferred not searching for it there.

Looks like Samsung & Google phones don't make the info available for whatever reason. It's easy enough on other Androids.

There's an app in the Play store called DevCheck that gives detailed info about your phone and its hardware

Thanks. I found CPU Info by KGSoft (Kamgurgul). It's a FOSS app with a nice UI, imo.

As long as you found something.  I found DevCheck to be a nice, clean interface and am amazed at the depth of information it contains. Even all the sensors.

It does look nice and feature rich. I just couldn't fully trust it to be private since it's proprietary, which is why I looked for something open source. Given how many people use DevCheck though, it's probably fine.

I especially liked that it made it very easy to check out system apps, since doing it from the apps list in the settings is a bit cumbersome.  Privacy...pssh... there's no such thing as privacy anymore and it doesn't seem to gather personal information, unless you count whatever apps you installed as personal.
