Facebook is overriding auto brightness settings. I don't have auto brightness settings turned on my phone. I have auto brightness turned off. But Facebook reels especially are overriding my auto brightness. People on Reddit saying the same thing. It's not just me. I've also noticed some other auto brightness overriding in other spots away from Facebook but I neglected to pay attention to which app this was.

I haven't had any issues regarding that issue but sometimes when your scrolling through reels on Facebook it's mostly a video that's recorded in HDR and high quality resolution so if your device has that capability your phones screen will bright up meaning your phone has that available

Ohhhhh interesting. I wonder if that's what's going on. HDR. Huh. Thanks for this.

Yup no problem it's normal your device is capable of giving you the best viewing experience enjoy its rare because not all vidoes are recorded with hdr and higher quality resolution so your device screen isn't using its full potential because not all videos are recorded with that high resolution yet so enjoy
