Search didn't result in anything recent about Google Photos but on S22 Ultra it's not working properly though it's working properly on other phones. It's specifically not working properly when trying to Markup with text ā allows you to enter text but not to resize it and otherwise behaves weirdly. Have tried clearing cache on app. App and system are up to date. This faulty behavior never happened on any device in all years of using Google Photos.
Had forgotten having posted about another problem with Google Photos on Jan 18, 2024: https://us.community.samsung.com/t5/Galaxy-S22/Google-Photos-not-editing-properly-on-Samsung-Galaxy-... That problem was different but nonetheless with Google Photos' editing function. See there was a Security update on Feb 1 which may have cleared up the January problem but then see there was a Software update on Feb 22 which may have created the current problem. Didn't make a note of when it the current problem first appeared probably assuming it was something which just required rebooting the phone, so the problem may have started after the last Feb 22 update but can't say for sure. Oh well or, rather, no well.
