This is a feature in the android 13 UI 5.0 beta. Which means that will be a feature upon official release. It doesn't specify showing contacts/names thru texting, but does on calls. I'm going to guess that since texting is linked to the phone numbers, that will be a feature too. These are some of the improvements:
