Mine does not have the option of edit call background

set a custom background image for a contact on a Samsung Galaxy S22, you can use the Phone app to change the call background for that contact. 

Steps 

Open the Phone app

Select the Contacts tab

Choose the contact you want to change

Tap the Information button

Tap More, then Edit

Tap Call Background

Tap Background

Select a background from the gallery or featured options

Tap Set as call background

You can also change the color assigned to a contact in the My People
