Invalid Destination Address when sending to specific number

My galaxy s22 ultra is getting error Invalid Destination Address when trying to send to specific number. What can I do to fix it?

Thank you for sharing your concern here in the Samsung Community. I would be worried, too, if I were receiving this message. There are a few different reasons this could be causing this to happen.

 

First, this could be the result of a bad Sim Card that is affecting your phone.
It is also possible the Destination Address of the person has been altered somehow.

 

Unfortunately, there is quite a few invalid destination addresses out there, the leading cause of which is that the person for who the message is intended for’s number may not belong to a specific mobile operator.


One of the most common causes of the error message you are receiving is just that the applicant doesn’t have enough credit to send texts anymore. These symptoms can be resolved by visiting your carrier with your concern. 

 


There is also a possibility your device needs an update, or clearing the cache will do the trick.

To clear your cache, Open Settings, and then swipe to and tap Apps. Select or search for the app you want to clear. Next, tap Storage, and then tap Clear cache.
