Samsung notes - handwriting to text

This is not working on my S22Ultra. I've tried all of the suggestions, even changed to Samsung keyboard. Nothing works. All of my apps are updated.

Anyone have any suggestions?

@Sairy Are you trying to use your pen as direct text input?

Or are you handwriting a sentence, paragraph, etc. and then trying to convert it to text?

@LongHiker, neither work. But after I submitted this question I had a thought - maybe a conflict with Pentastic so I uninstalled it and the function to convert handwriting to text works. Direct text input still no go. Can't find any way to do it.
