Saying "OK Google" now brings up a screen to enter text!

All of a sudden I'm getting the attached screen when I activate Google Assistant with "OK Google". Where did this come from and how do I get rid of it? 

By the way, I already have my preferred method in Google Assistant as voice .

I had the same issue. Force stop the Google app, Clear app data , reboot and it should work
